A renewal application must be submitted to the authorized institution before the document expires; renewal is applied either without an exam (with proof of work) or with an exam, depending on the profession. Is it possible to renew your certificate without taking an exam?

How is the MYK exam conducted?
The exam consists of two parts: theoretical (test/oral) and performance (practical). In the performance exam, you apply your profession in real working conditions. Exam units and types according to your profession are detailed on the Job Descriptions page.
What is the passing grade for the MYK exam?
The passing score varies depending on the competency and the unit; success in each unit is required separately. A high score in one unit does not compensate for a deficiency in another. The criteria for your profession are specified in the competency details.
Where can I find the MYK exam questions and answers?
The actual exam questions are confidential; they cannot be shared by any institution or individual — do not trust sources promising "answer keys". The scope, units, and evaluation criteria of the exam are clearly stated in the national qualification document for the profession; this information is sufficient for preparation.
Can the MYK certificate be obtained through e-Government?
No — you cannot obtain documents from e-Government; you can only view your existing document. To obtain a document, you must take an exam at an authorized certification body. The application steps are explained on our Application page.
My document is not showing up on e-Government — what should I do?
It may take some time for newly received documents to be processed into the system. If your document is not visible even though it has been finalized, please contact your certification body; your registration will be checked and reported to MYK (Vocational Qualifications Authority).
How long are my successful exam results valid?
The validity period of unit achievements is specified in the relevant national qualification; you can obtain your certificate by completing your missing units within this period. For the specific timeframe for your profession, you can check the qualification details or ask us.
I passed the exam — when and where can I pick up my certificate?
Your certificate will be printed by MYK after the results are finalized and delivered to you via ADEN. You can track the delivery status on the Candidate Inquiry page and contact us for any questions.
I lost my document — can it be reprinted?
Yes. You can request a reprint by contacting your certification body; reprints are subject to a fee. For ADEN certificates, you can submit a request through our Contact page.
I failed some exams. Can I complete my missing units at a different institution?
Different units in different organizations can be combined; However, the same unit cannot be divided between two different organizations. You cannot complete a unit at an institution other than the institution where you started.
What is auditing? Do I have to provide the documents requested by my certification body?
Auditing is monitoring whether the certificate holder maintains their competence. The document holder is obliged to submit the documents requested by the organization; Otherwise, the document may be suspended or cancelled.
I got 90 marks but still failed. How is this possible?
There are "critical steps" in the exams. It is imperative that these steps are completed completely and correctly. Failure at the critical step will result in the exam being failed, regardless of the overall score.
How much does the MYK certificate cost? (2026)

Is there any government subsidy for exam fees?

Which professions require a Vocational Qualification Certificate (MYK)?
For hazardous and very hazardous jobs, as declared by Ministry circulars, a Vocational Qualification Certificate issued by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) is mandatory; the list is concentrated in sectors such as construction, metalworking, and machinery. What is the penalty for employing workers without proper documentation?
Employers who employ workers without the necessary documentation in professions covered by mandatory certification will be subject to a separate administrative fine for each worker identified; the amount will increase annually according to the revaluation rate. Professions that require certification are determined by taking into account the hazard class of the profession, not the workplace. Do public employees also need to obtain a certificate in professions that require certification?
Yes, it is necessary. There is no distinction between public or private sector in the obligation to obtain MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate, the obligation is binding on all employees.
